Once again, it has been a busy and exciting time for the Kitchen by Liquid team. From VIP chef appearances to the return of charitable cooking, the kitchen opened its heart (and cupboards) to a great range of clients this October.
Cooking for a cause: Food Cycle returns!
We had the honour once again to open our space to Food Cycle, for a total of three incredible cooking sessions. The volunteer team used our kitchen facilities to create a variety of recipes for the Food Invention Challenges, which challenges participants to cook a delicious three course meal out of surplus food.
Food Cycle brings together those who are fighting the struggle against food poverty, helping those with the inability to get enough healthy, affordable food. The volunteers take part in various challenges to create delicious dishes for a great cause, and the open plan and centrally located demonstration kitchen at Liquid is the perfect spot for this.
Bringing it back: Pt. 2 of Maple from Canada’s Newstalgia shoot
The second part of the newstalgia shoot, concluded this month, capturing latest recipes for Maple from Canada UK. The kitchen was once again taken back in time with the retro theme taking centre stage for our maple syrup infused dishes.
Over the two shoot days, a total of eight dishes were shot and edited by our in-house photography and creative team to bring these nostalgic recipes to life and transport us back to the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. From maple loaded mac ‘n’ cheese, maple coronation chicken bruschetta, to sweet treats such as maple fudge milkshake, comforting food has been truly reimagined by our teams.
Thom Bateman’s chef ambassador photoshoot
We had the pleasure of inviting another Maple from Canada UK ambassador, Thom Bateman, to our space to produce two new maple-infused dishes. With filming in full swing, Thom created an English muffin with sausage patty, maple glazed bacon and maple hot ketchup, followed by a savoury maple and soy glazed chicken.
It was all hands-on-deck for the creative team with a variety of videos and photography of Thom cooking up a maple storm in the kitchen! If you are looking for the perfect venue for shooting content, creating tasty treats and utilising the open-plan space, then look no further!
A trout-standing end to the month with Goatsbridge Trout’s photoshoot
Our clients at Goatsbridge Trout farm, based in the heart of the The Little Arrigle River, in County Kilkenny, spent the day shooting its delicious product range in the kitchen. With a variety of product shots, showing off new packaging, which launched in September, the shoot delivered a variety of imagery for Goatsbridge to use on their website.
