Maple pancake shoot

On 8th November, we hosted a photoshoot in the kitchen for our client, Maple From Canada. The content was in preparation for Pancake Day 2024 and saw Olivier whip up some delicious pancake recipes.

These included heart-shaped raspberry maple pancakes with maple coulis, eggs royale maple pancakes, traybake pancakes with maple glaze, and sweet sushi pancakes with fruit. Yes, you heard right – sushi pancakes!

The team created and shot seven recipes in total, all in the comfort of our kitchen which offers the perfect space for foodie shoots like this.

Thanksgiving event

On 20th November, we hosted the Greater Birmingham Transatlantic Chamber of Commerce as they celebrated Thanksgiving in the kitchen.

It was an evening filled with conversation, drinks and food lovingly made by our development chef, Olivier. He made lots of tasty American-inspired canapes including hot dogs, beef burgers, New York cheesecake, pumpkin and sweetpotato pies and peanut butter cookies. And we can’t forget to mention the impressive cake Olivier made, which was topped with macaroons, fresh fruit and white chocolate shards.

Our event space is ideal for networking events like this, with the kitchen island and break-out space offering a great social space for serving food and drinks.

Persian-themed cook-a-long

On 30th November, the Chartered Insurance Institute took a trip to the kitchen to take part in a practical masterclass with Olivier.

There were nine people taking part and Olivier walked the group through the process of making four Persian-inspired recipes which everyone could then enjoy. Recipes included slow cooked beans with spicy sausages, maple, cheese and courgette pie, crushed new potatoes with tahini butter, and sticky tamarind, garlic and tomato green beans.

With our development kitchen offering a central island with a hob and worktop space, as well as four ovens, it is perfectly set up for practical masterclasses like this. The spacious cooking area means that Olivier can create workstations for individual groups, taking them through recipes step by step.
